(Pictures top to bottom #1 Mark with our friend Michael who is a new believer, #2 Celeste with our friend Antonio a.k.a Flava Flave who is a construction worker, & #3 Heidi with our friend Cindi from The Brooklyn Tabernacle.)Friends our theme for this week was "Open the Eyes of My Heart". God has truly opened my eyes and that of our team to the need to take time and really "see what you're looking at". You know there are so many people in NYC and Clinton, MS for that matter that we need to see. We need to see!! We need to smile at them, help them, share with them or do what ever the Holy Spirit leads us to do for them all in the name of Jesus Christ! We have been so blessed by the relationships we have built this week even in a city of 10 million people. On Sunday we met one of the Mosaic Manhattan members seving in the children's ministry. His name is Dano and he and his wife have 6 children. They commute from Brooklyn to attend church at Mosaic Manhattan. He was such a kind and servant-hearted man. Remember that was Sunday, but yesterday (Fri.) we ran into him in front of Macy's. He was on his way to a business meeting. We were able to thank him for Sunday and encourage him in his ministry. Also, a precious young woman we met on Tuesday at The Brooklyn Tabernacle named Cindi met us for lunch yesterday. She spent the day with us and was a cource of encouragement to us for us. I hope we were an encouragement to her as well. It amazing how God cares about all of life's details and how He orchestrates them all to bring glory to Himself! We are leaving for the airport as soon as I finish this blog. Our flight is at 11:00 Eastern time. We will be home soon and can't wait to share more of God's great work with you! THANKS!

Hi Celeste! I love how you set up this site, for people back home to read and pray for y'all! (see,I'm using the word you taught me) You did a great job!
It was such a blessing to meet each one of you --Heidi, Ashley,Josh, Mark, Allison, and Diane.
You are a special group, and very special individuals. God used you each one of you, to bless and sow seeds of faith into people's lives while you were here! And I know God will continue to use you back home.
I am glad you "stopped by the church."
As far as that "tea-incident" you had, I had a similar one in South Carolina, but just the opposite--I asked for tea,(expecting it to be hot) and I got just the opposite! I had a good laugh too.
Even though our ways are a bit different,(actually I didn't notice to many--you fit right in here)--what stood out most of all, is the love each one of you has. Glory to Jesus! You are all so sweet. Please keep Joanna and I in prayer--it is a tough city, but it is right where God wants us.
(I am praying for your safe travel)
and if you are ever in NY again...you have some friends!
God bless you.
Wow! We made it home. I hope that this blog continues the prayer and support for NYC. Thanks to everyone that prayed for us. They were truly felt. God moved in some miraculous ways this week. All we had to do was to stop and see what He was doing in and through us. God is So Awesome. Glory to Him. This trip has truly changed my life. Thanks.
Hey gang,
glad you all made it back, hopefully no mishaps. I am so truly moved by all the people that we actually found (or who actually found us) that were of the Christian faith in that " great big city". God does provide when you don't know which way to go, the obvious Cindi & Joanna, and it's great that ya'll could meet cindi for lunch, and you even taught her the corrrect English with the word "ya'll", I'm impressed!!
God brought ya'll home safety and he has a pal for each to continue his work in Clinton ro wherever he decides to send us. Praise God for the safe journey, and life changing experiences.
Diane
